HUAWEI, world’s no. 2 smartphone maker, today announced a new software update for Mate 10. The latest version for HUAWEI Mate 10 is recognised as ALP-L29 8.0.0.115 (C636) and is available for upgrade from 30 October 2017.
This edition comes with the newly added Microsoft Translator Application to enhance user experience. Microsoft Translator Application offers personal translation capability with over 60 languages. As a free upgrade for the HUAWEI Mate 10, it plays a vital role for business elites, especially those who are always on business trips and on-the-go.
It can help translate text, voice, conversation and camera photos without requiring internet access. As internet restriction may apply when one is abroad, users can download preferred languages beforehand for offline translation.

Kirin 970 is powered by an 8-core CPU and a new generation 12-core GPU. Constructed using a 10nm advanced process, the chipset packs 5.5 billion transistors into an area of only one cm².
Compared to a quad-core Cortex-A73 CPU cluster, the Kirin 970's new heterogeneous computing architecture delivers up to 25x the performance with 50x greater efficiency. Simply put, the Kirin 970 can perform the same AI computing tasks faster and with far less power.
Officially launched on 16 October 2017, the HUAWEI Mate 10 Series is the first line-up powered by the new Kirin 970 processor and deliver AI enhancements for a faster, more customised mobile experience.
The HUAWEI Mate 10 features a stunning 5.9-inch screen with a 16:9 display, barely-there-bezel and HDR10 to support vivid colors. It also highlights an all-new HUAWEI FullView Display, a 3D Glass Body, beautifully and symmetrically curved on all four sides with a reflective band design.
Packed with a 4000mAh high-density battery with TÜV Safety Certified HUAWEI SuperCharge, the HUAWEI Mate 10 sports a smart battery management system that understands user behaviours and intelligently allocates resources to maximise battery life.
Powered by HUAWEI’s EMUI 8.0 and Android™ 8.0, the intelligent device features a Smart Screen function for an intelligent split-screen interface to run two apps side by side and support for a full desktop experience – either mirroring or extending the smartphone display, while personal notifications, calls and messages remain private.
The HUAWEI Mate 10 is available in Black and can be purchased at all HUAWEI Experience Stores,Display Zones, telco partners and authorized dealers at the retail price of RM2,699. The HUAWEI Mate 10 in Mocha Brown and Champagne Gold will follow in subsequent shipments.
