Sony’s new flagship store opens in Lalaport BBCC

SONY
today announced the opening of its latest physical store in Kuala Lumpur at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre.

The new store, housed on level two, is designed to connect with customers through their lifestyle by offering a comprehensive range of Sony consumer products from photography, videography and audio equipment to home entertainment. Each area of the store is designed to offer a different feel that is closely related to customers’ lifestyle.

The latest BRAVIA line-up features the world’s first TV with cognitive intelligence powered by Sony’s XR technology. The XR technology is designed to replicate the way our brains think and process images.

This simply means that when our brain sees an image and our subconscious mind focuses on certain aspects of this image, this new technology will follow exactly how our brains focuses on those same aspects.

The Digital Imaging area will highlight new and larger shooting objects as well as a lens bar concept where users are free to be up close with the whole array of Sony’s lenses while pairing them with all the cameras in Sony’s line-up.

On top of that, the new Sony Store will also feature its first live streaming corner where all users from beginners to professionals will be able to benefit from the unique offering of this store.

Tucked within the store is a 360 Reality Audio room which allows customers to experience the feeling of being in a live concert. Customers can feel that they are in the middle of the action with Sony’s TVs and speakers equipped with 360 Reality Audio.

With a prominent video wall mounted on its store front featuring captivating visual content, customers will be warmly welcomed to step into the wide and open entrance of the store.

Segmented according to the different product offerings, the Sony Store at BBCC offers an experience to wow customers through our Displays, Music, Digital Imaging, Gaming, Mobile and Movies, as well as our customer-friendly Service Centre. The store will also be home to the Sony Digital Workshop space, which will host workshops, seminars and activity sessions.

“I am very excited about the new flagship store as well as the potential traffic that this new mall has to offer. To enrich your shopping experience, we are also be offering value-add services such as gift wrapping and service collection point”, said Managing Director of Sony Malaysia, Kazutoyo Araki.

He further adds and encourages members of the public to sign up as a MySony Member on Sony Malaysia’s website (sony.com.my) to be updated on the latest sales, launches as well as product updates. “Even if you do not own any Sony products, you can still sign up and benefit from our workshops and webinars which are conducted from time to time”, he added.
